Dominicca Troi Washington, M.Ed is a Chicago native raised on the city’s South Side. She is a proud product of the Chicago Public Schools System and a first generation college graduate, from Clark Atlanta University. She is the founder and executive director of The SHE Society Incorporated: SHE Chicago, a young women’s empowerment program that provides character education, community service opportunities, and college and career planning support for inner city teen girls. Dominicca believes that by helping young women to identify their purpose and develop great character while exposing them to resources beyond their current circumstances, we can advance the trajectory of their lives and of the lifespan of our communities. Dominicca is the mother of two beautiful children who fuel her passion daily and drive her commitment to closing equity and achievement gaps for SHE Chicago participants and other children citywide.
