About Andrea Porter

Andrea maintains expertise in raising funds and support to advance and amplify the mission of community based organizations in the Chicagoland area. She is a trained fundraiser with 10+ years of experience in raising funds from both individuals and institutions for causes ranging from housing insecurity to women’s rights, and beyond. Prior to this role, Andrea served as the Major Gifts & Planned Giving Officer for the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, a national organization that focuses on eradicating poverty and racism.

Andrea began her career in fundraising and development upon graduating from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Criminology. In addition to her professional experience, Andrea also maintains a certificate in Fundraising Management from Indiana University Bloomington and serves on the Continuous Learning committee for the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Chicago Chapter.
