About Alderwoman Monet S. Wilson

Alderwoman Monet S. Wilson is the first African American Alderwoman in the 130-year history of the City of Calumet City, IL. Twenty-four years ago, she married Courtland D. Wilson, and they had two boys, CJ and Chase. CJ is 20 years old and a Junior attending Morehouse College. Chase is a 10-year-old student attending Heritage Leadership Academy. Alderwoman Wilson is a dedicated and accomplished public servant passionate about community development and youth advocacy. She is deeply committed to ensuring the community’s voice is heard at local government levels. Her strong leadership skills have enabled her to successfully implement policies and initiatives to improve the quality of life for all residents. Alderwoman Wilson’s dedication and unwavering commitment to public service make her an invaluable asset to our community.
