Bold Girl’s Society
Bringing together high school girls from all over Chicagoland to focus on advocacy, leadership and finding their voice.
BOLD Girls Society members envision a world in which young women receive the respect and dignity they deserve within a network of emerging leaders in social change. BGS aims to uplift youth voice in creating a healthier culture that is conducive to the success of its members and encourages youth to celebrate their unique qualities as a means of building a safe, and equitable future for all. We intend to equip our members with the knowledge and power necessary to advocate for freedom and lead boldly as they work together in service to others.
BOLD Girls participate in many programs and field trips. The Bold Girls have had the opportunity to travel to Washington DC for Girls Inc’s Take Our Daughters to Congress day where they shadowed female politicians. They have also had an ongoing partnership with the ACLU which has culminated in their year end project: Hands-Off
