Girls Inc. offers age appropriate, research based programs to elementary, middle school and high school girls, delivered by trained staff. The Girls Inc. mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. We put our mission into practice through the Girls Inc. experience that equips girls to navigate gender, economic and social barriers to grow into healthy, educated and independent adults.

There are six essential elements of the Girls Inc. Experience:

  • A pro-girl and girls-only environment
  • Mentoring relationships with adult staff and volunteers
  • Intentional programming
  • Research-based curricula
  • Interactive, motivating and deliberate activities
  • Sustained exposure to programming and connection with a girl over time

Girls Inc. believes that girls have the right to prepare for interesting work and economic independence. Our programs emphasize six core themes:

  • Careers and Life Planning
  • Self-Reliance and Life Skills
  • Sports and Adventure
  • Health and Sexuality
  • Culture and Heritage
  • Leadership and Community Action
