As crime and violence continue to grow in Chicago’s poor neighborhoods, something else is growing too—a new generation of young girls who have the will and desire to make change. But they need support. Studies show that as early as age 6, girls start believing boys are smarter. That’s why it’s crucial we start young and continue to support them as they grow.

Starting with a base of 100 girls in Martha Ruggles Elementary School, our daily Girls Inc. K-3 program will help build a solid foundation. But it’s only the beginning. With your personal investment, Girls Inc. of Chicago can grow with these girls and expand into additional schools to help other girls like them. With Girls Inc. of Chicago in her corner, providing life-changing opportunities and experiences through all the school years, we can empower a new generation of female leaders.
