Monique Ramsey, born and raised on the southside of Chicago, IL is a graduate and educator with 11 years of teaching experience in Chicago Public Schools. She is very passionate about teaching and learning. Her philosophy of education is that all youth has every opportunity for success no matter what obstacles they may face.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Fisk University and a master’s degree in Special Education from Roosevelt University. She is dedicated, committed and focused in ensuring that she empowers anyone she encounters to become lifelong learners and change agents.
In her free time, she enjoys skating, stepping, and spending time with her family and friends. As the current President of the Chicago Area Fisk University Alumni Association, she organizes events and fundraisers for scholarships. Her motto is “Authentic relationships happen organically and everyday is the opportunity to flourish.”
