Jean has been President of the Chicago office of MARC USA Advertising, a full-service, privately-held firm for 14 years. During this time, she and her team have quadrupled revenues, handling accounts such as Navistar, Ruby Tuesday, DePaul University, Payless ShoeSource and True Value Hardware. Prior to joining MARC USA, Jean worked at J. Walter Thompson, where she ran the Global Kraft Cheese account. Her earlier agency experiences included Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago and Ogilvy & Mather in New York.
Among Jean’s community and industry roles, in addition to serving as President of the newly formed Chicago affiliate of Girls Inc., she is on the Executive Committee of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce where she leads Membership Development. Jean is the 2017 recipient of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce’s Award for Excellence, the first woman to receive the award. Jean is also on the board of Wings of Wonder, a raptor rehabilitation and education center located in Empire, Michigan.
Jean received her MA in Communications from Northwestern University and her BA in Advertising from Syracuse University. She is married to John Nitschke, who is the Treasurer of the Dr. Scholl Foundation. They live in Evanston, Illinois with their three cats. In her free time, Jean competes in show jumping with her horse, Snow Day, and works on their farm in Maple City, Michigan.
