All children deserve to grow up feeling confident that they can achieve their goals. But girls are taught, both overtly and very subtly by our culture that they shouldn’t aspire to leadership, to entrepreneurship, to being the best in their field, not only among women but among all participants. Girls Inc. corrects those misperceptions which benefit not only the girls themselves, but our society, our nation and the world. It’s actually pretty simple to me. We can’t afford to let all this talent not reach its full potential.
