Gray Mateo-Harris is an equity partner in the Chicago office of Fox Rothschild, a national law firm with over 1,000 attorneys across 30 offices, where she leads the firm’s regional Labor & Employment practice and represents employers in critical litigation, high-stakes labor relations, sensitive internal investigations, and strategic workplace counseling. A Chicago-raised attorney who graduated cum laude from both the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and its College of Law, Gray now helps employers build workplaces that reflect company values, celebrate inclusivity and fairness, and exceed legal compliance requirements. She is a proud immigrant from the Dominican Republic who arrived in the United States at age 7 and grew up in Chicago’s Humboldt Park, a journey that fuels her drive to serve her many communities through mentorship, board service and opening doors for those “who could not out” in the words of her favorite Chicana author, Sandra Cisneros. A native Spanish speaker, Gray works fluently with Spanish-speaking clients and witnesses, bridging language and cultural gaps in complex workplace matters. Recognized as a Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Latino Leader and a Chicago Business Journal Woman of Influence, Gray brings both excellence and heart to every table she sits at.
